Your eyes will see the King in His beauty; you will behold a far distant land. Isaiah 33:17
The western starting point of the Stoney Indian Pass Trail begins in the Waterton Valley on the Continental Divide. The Trail ascends 1,825′ to Stoney Indian Lake, and then another 583′ to Stoney Indian Pass. Once over the Pass, a descent of 2,046′ to Glenns Lake exposes the hiker to some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. Upon crossing over to the other side the following Fanny Crosby verse comes to mind:
When my life work is ended, and I cross the swelling tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.
The Bible states: “It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27) “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it … And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works … And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15)
What will you face when you cross over to the other side?
