Each individual must decide what their authority will be with regard to the age of the earth.   Many accept by faith the speculations of those who have rejected God or the Biblical teaching of the world-wide flood in Noah’s day.   Others attempt to harmonize the theories of man and the Biblical account, and a smaller number of individuals accept the straightforward teaching of Scripture which leads to a creation of approximately 6,000 years ago.

Humans tend to place reason above God’s truth in order to avoid conflict with popular philosophies.   With regard to the Bible, it is very important to let the Father and Jesus the Word, through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, teach individuals how Their Book should be interpreted.

“The natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”   (1 Corinthians 2:14)

“If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”   (John 8:31-32)
