The truth of the Lord endureth forever. Psalm 117:2
To be truthful is declare that which is correct, accurate and without error. It is the opposite of declaring lies or half truths.
Light is synonymous with truth and purity; while the absence of light (darkness) is synonymous with lies, half truths and deception.
The Bible declares regarding the Creator:
God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5)
The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. (Psalm 111:7)
Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens and Your truth to the clouds. (Psalm 57:10)
The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. (Psalm 119:130)
The sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting. (Psalm 119:60)
In Jesus Christ was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness. (John 1:4-5)
“If you continue in My word, then you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)
The Lord passed by in front of Moses and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, abounding in lovingkindness and truth.” (Exodus 34:6)
