Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high? Psalm 113:5
The Scriptures refer to God as the Creator: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.” (Isaiah 40:28) The word creator refers to someone who carefully plans, designs and brings things into existence that did not exist previously.
The Scriptures also state that “the builder of all things is God.” (Hebrews 3:4) It is very revealing that when Jesus Christ came to dwell among men, His profession was that of a carpenter. “Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary?” (Mark 6:3)
The Bible also describes the Creator as a wise God, who by wisdom brought forth His creation. “O Lord, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all.” (Psalm 104:24) “When He established the heavens … and marked out the foundations of the earth; wisdom was beside Him, as a master workman.” (Proverbs 8:27,29-30)
The slideshow above displays majesty, harmony, intense color and creativity, all qualities that are encapsulated in the word beauty. This beauty did not create itself, but rather, is a reflection of the Master Craftsman who is worthy to be praised.
This Master Craftsman is the One of Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” The Bible also declares, “Many, O Lord my God, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” (Psalm 40:5) The New Testament says of Him: “All things were made by Him; (Jesus Christ) and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:3) “He (Jesus Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17)
“O Lord; there are not any works like unto Thy works.” (Psalm 86:8)
“Blessed be the LORD God, who only doeth wondrous things.” (Psalm 72:18)
“The Lord’s name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven.” (Psalm 148:13)
“The fool hath said in his heart, ‘There is no God.'” (Psalm 14:1)
